This is an early preview to a TubeBattle blog entry
Dedicated to the Nerdcode Geeks out there! You’ll either be ROFLMAO or asking WTF?!
Monzy performing at Stanford Univ
Never heard of or seen guitar tapping until i saw these videos. Now I’m a convert to the art!
Andy McKee playing his original song called Drifting.
Erik Mongrain playing “AirTap“.
Not as good as AirTap, but another piece by Erik Mongrain…
As I previously mentioned, thanks to top-rated videos on TubeBattle, I’m starting to get exposed to all kinds of “current-coolness”.
I didn’t know what “beatboxing” was last week (and in fact, I still don’t know if it is one-word or two-words?). But now I’m happy to introduce this impressive video: A group known as Naturally7 starts impromptu singing and beatboxing on a subway line full of passengers in Paris.
So it’s been 3 weeks since TubeBattle went live. The stats have been impressive so far.
Here’s a snapshot of my Google Analytics Geomap, showing where all the users are coming from:
As part of the ongoing development of the site, my developer has completed most of the visible changes. The site now displays some “activity counters”, such as # of users online currently, # of videos in each battle, # of votes that have been cast (in total as well as for each battle). I’ve noticed a huge up-tick in votes being cast, since the counters went in. I’m also overjoyed by the fact that the “# of users online” has always been in the 3-15 range every time I check the site, so it looks like people are really enjoying the website!
Some of you know I moved to Las Vegas just this Summer. Summer was hot. Incredibly hot at 130+ degrees Farenheit! At 10pm at night, the summer nights might drop to the low 90 degrees.
But who knew, that it also snows in Vegas! Here are some videos I captured while driving today… Click on the (small) green Play button on the bottom left to view the videos. Co-incidence or not, at the time of the filming, I was listening to Hotel California by the Eagles, from the Hell Freezes Over album!
