The coupon gets you a new domain for $8.41.
GoDaddy has coupon code (CJC695DOM) which will get you a .COM for $6.95. Might be a better deal if you register a .COM and don’t care about whois privacy.
The December coupon is out: WHITEXMAS
The November coupon is out: GOBBLEGOBBLE
The October coupon for Namecheap domain registrations:rocktober
Looks like rocktober code has been disabled. Use goblins instead, which should be valid for the rest of the month.
Thanks to a great tip I received, I’ve been trawling through Godaddy’s marketplace to buy/sell domain names. There are some really amazing bargains that can be had over at TDNAM (The Domain Name After Market, a Godaddy company). I guess all those “Internet Prospectors” who registered a billion domain names hoping to make a killing, are trying to unload all those domains after figuring out that people aren’t going to be paying huge dollars after all. Sure there are a few people crazy enough to want $50,000 forbandaids.us, but I’ve found that many prices are quite reasonable.
In fact, I snagged creditrepairinfo.org (for my Credit Repair information site) for only $5! It’s a 2+ year old site (good for Google rankings) and has the primo keyword “credit repair” in the domain name. In fact, buying it for $5 is cheaper than if I had registered the name myself (assuming it was available).
If you’re looking to get a good domain name, especially if you’re trying to SEO it, TDNAM is the first place you should look at.
