After the amazing performance of my E55 from a tire blow-out, it’s hard to consider buying any other brand of car.

The 2 new babies are the 2008 Mercedes Benz R350 (for the wife) and a S550 (for me!).

   My dad had an Audi A6 that hide a tire blowout on a highway and you couldn’t even tell there was a flat. That was back in 97. Now I’m driving the 06 A4 and next spring I’m going to the 09 A5. I think you’re paying less brand premium with the Audi, but getting much the same (if not better ) car.

   My dad had an Audi A6 that had a blowout at highway speeds. It took us about 2 minutes to figure out the car actually had a flat. That was back in 97 and I don’t think tire pressure monitoring systems were even available.

   Now I drive an 06 A4 and in the spring I’m picking up an 09 A5. Funny how a tire blowout can cement your loyalty to a car company.
