After that Celine Dion show, I decided to dig through some of my old CDs. Some of my favorite female singers (of a similar style to Celine) are Tina Arena and Lara Fabian.
Tina Arena, goes back to my roots in Australia. Tina was a child-star, and has a fabulously strong voice. She now lives in France and mostly sings in French, but some of her original classics in English include Chains and Sorrento Moon.
Lara Fabian is Belgian. My first introduction to her was over 10 years ago, with her songs in French. I, of course, don’t speak or even understand any French, so my admiration for her talents were purely based on melody and vocals skills. My favorite is J’y Crois Encore. Perhaps her most famous English hit is I Will Love Again.
